LVE COLLECTION
A HISTORY
In the aftermath of the 2012 earthquake in Haiti, I had the privilege of designing and developing the branding and logo for LVE HAITI, a mission initiative dedicated to rebuilding and empowering communities. Over the course of two years, I led fundraising efforts and organized large-scale events that required extensive promotion.
During this time, I also spent two summers in the south-central region of Haiti, co-leading summer camps with teams made up of both UK and Haitian members. Together, we worked to support families by providing engaging, diverse, and impactful sessions for their young people.
THE PRESENT
Nearly 12 years later, I found myself feeling helpless in the face of the devastating events unfolding in communities around the world. I was particularly troubled by the stories being overlooked by mainstream media.
This sparked the idea to adapt the original LVE logo, to highlight countries experiencing conflict. I chose to start with the DRC and Sudan and launched a small run of sweatshirts and t-shirts featuring the new designs.

As you can imagine, the list of countries currently experiencing conflict is far from exhaustive. At the moment, my list includes about 15 nations, including regions like Tigray and Nigeria.
I’m still refining how to develop these designs further, but I plan to release new designs each quarter.
THE FUTURE
The plan is develop an ongoing range of comfy designs that are focused on the visibility of these nations. Please note that I’m not making any profit from these designs.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to causes supporting those affected by conflict, and I’ll be sharing more details on specific charitable organisations soon.
I also work with a local Black woman-owned printing business to produce the sweatshirts, so your support helps uplift small businesses as well. The turnaround time of 6-8 weeks, though it may take longer during the holiday seasons.
